How a bar is made
शनैः शनैः
Whatever is made slowly and naturally is the best.
The Cold-Process Craft
The traditional way: oils and butters become soap slowly, at a gentle temperature, then are cut and rested by hand.

1Blend
Oils and butters are blended with lye until they begin to turn into soap.

2Pour
The batter is swirled with colour and poured into the mould by hand.

3Cut
Once set, the loaf is cut into bars by hand.

4Cure
The bars rest on open racks for four weeks, so they harden and mature before packing.

A family legacy
A legacy in soap. A new ritual in beauty.
SetRite begins with a family that has made soap for generations. Today the family chooses and presents a collection of cold-process bars, handcrafted in small batches with a partner artisan studio in Maharashtra.
- 1952
Ramesh Sewak is born into a family in soap manufacturing, associated with the Multani Soap Factory, and spends his life learning the craft.
- 2004
His son, Abhhishek Sewak, joins him. Together they look beyond everyday cleansing, towards soap, skin and the knowledge of traditional India.
- Today
SetRite brings that heritage to a new bathing ritual: cold-process bars chosen by the family and handcrafted with our partner studio.

What is cold-process soap?
Cold-process soap is made by blending oils and butters with lye, which turns them into soap. The mixture is poured into a mould, cut by hand and cured for four weeks before it is packed. We make our bars this way, in small batches.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Every skin is different, so we can't promise that any bar will suit everyone. Our bars are scented, so if your skin is sensitive, please patch test first: lather a little on your inner arm, rinse, and wait a day. The full ingredient list is on every product page.
How long does a bar last?
That depends on how often you use it. Keep the bar on a draining soap dish between uses, so it stays firm and lasts longer.

Can I return a bar?
If a bar arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, write to us from the Contact page within 7 days with your order number and a photo, and we'll put it right.
